Olatunji Muritala MCIArb
Olatunji heads the firm’s Tax Practice and is a member of the Advocacy & Dispute Resolution Team. He is also a member of the IP and Data Protection Team; Finance, Energy & Major Projects Practice Team; and the Employment Law & Immigration Practice Team.
Olatunji led the team that advised Ekovolt Telco Limited, an Internet Service Provider, and the United States Trade and Development Agency on the provision of fixed wireless broadband internet services to some underserved communities in the Niger Delta. He was also part of the team that acted as Nigerian counsel to an oil and gas exploration development, production and exploration company incorporated in the United Kingdom on the provision of up to $600 million for the exploration, development, production and sale of crude oil from OML 65 owned by the Nigerian Exploration and Production Limited.
Olatunji has also worked on several complex litigation matters in different areas of practice including Telecommunications, Banking & Finance, Taxation, Labour and Industrial Relations.
Olatunji Muritala graduated from the University of Ilorin in 2011 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. He is the recipient of many distinguished scholarships and awards of excellence including the Best Graduating student of the Law Faculty (Department of Common & Islamic Law) Award of the University of Ilorin and the Sir Lionel Bret Award for Criminal Litigation, Nigerian Law School. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, Nigeria Branch. He obtained an LL.M from the University of Lagos.
