The Firm has acted as solicitors and advisors to investors and participants in the ICT industry on the legal regime governing the establishment and operation of their businesses in Nigeria and advised on joint ventures and commercial contracts amongst industry players.

The Firm advised Ekovolt Telco Limited, an Internet Service Provider (“ISP”), and the United States Trade and Development Agency (“USTDA”) on the provision of fixed wireless broadband internet services to some underserved communities in the Niger Delta.

The project explored a hybrid model involving the deployment of both fibre optic and fixed wireless access.

The deployment was carried out by the ISP while the project was funded by the USTDA to aid export promotion for US companies, as the project was designed to use only US radio equipment.

TLC drafted colocation and infrastructure sharing agreements and advised on the various approvals required from the Nigerian Communications Commission and relevant state governments in executing the project.
